Living to Serve
At James E. Taylor FFA, community service is not just an activity — it’s a core value. Guided by the FFA Motto, “Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve,” our members give back through meaningful volunteer projects that strengthen both our community and their own leadership skills.
From organizing canned food drives and volunteering at senior centers, to supporting children in need with toys, honoring veterans through Wreaths Across America, or assisting at local events and schools, students find ways to serve every day.
These experiences shape responsible, engaged citizens who embody the FFA tradition of giving back. All FFA members are required to track and submit their community service hours to their Ag teacher, reinforcing the importance of service in action.
Below, you’ll find additional resources and ideas for service projects happening across the nation led by FFA students.
There are multiple opportunities that you as an FFA Booster Club member can volunteer, support the teachers as a chaperone, support the students with supplies or food, or sponsor a service event, feel free to look at those opportunities on our Get Involved page by clicking on learn more below.
