Scholarships and Award Winnings

Abundance of Opportunities

James E. Taylor FFA students have access to a wide range of scholarship opportunities through competitions, projects, and community partnerships.

Scholarships may be earned through CDE and LDE contests, major livestock shows such as the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, and by raising and exhibiting animals. Additional opportunities are available through State and National FFA programs, universities, local buyers’ clubs, and private businesses.

The James E. Taylor FFA Booster Club also awards annual scholarships to graduating seniors, presented at the End-of-Year Banquet.

Ag teachers encourage and guide students in applying for these and other opportunities.

Limited financial assistance may be available, students are encouraged to speak directly with their Ag teacher if this support is needed.
